Vanderlyle:
The wonderful Vanderlyle does not label itself as a vegetarian restaurant but has been since opening last year. A delicious 5 course set menu, led by the availability of local and seasonal produce. Vanderlyle is extremely popular so book well ahead using the Tock system.
DoppleGanger:
Vegan junk food! Drop in to DoppleGanger and enjoy these really satisfying burgers and sides. There are many tasty choices on the menu, including vegan desserts. One not to miss! Open early until late.
Michaelhouse Cafe, Trinity Street:
This is a firm favourite with many of my vegetarian friends. Whilst Michaelhouse Cafe is not exclusively vegetarian or vegan, it offers delicious plant based and meat free options. Open for breakfast, lunch, or coffee and cake, with a daily changing menu.
Stem + Glory:
Exclusively plant based, Stem and Glory serves breakfast, lunch and some evening meals on set days. Order small plates to share or your own main. Lots of delicious choices.
Wagamama:
There are loads of reasonably priced vegetarian and vegan options within each section of Wagamama’s menu, including many noodle and rice dishes, baos and gyoza. Try the vegan katsu- yum!
On the move- The Wandering Yak:
The Wandering Yak street food truck can be found in and around Cambridge. Serving the flavours of the Middle East and India, you can enjoy their delicious mezze boxes, pittas and more. Track the Yak using the website!

Truly Scrumptious, Ely:
Truly Scrumptious Vegan Cafe is also a gluten free. Set in the historic city centre of Ely, enjoy simple hot food, homemade cakes, and a range of teas and drinks. Open from Tuesday to Saturday, 9-5pm.
Provenance- Brix and Mortar, Whittlesford:
Starting life on the road as a food truck, Provenance now also have Brix and Mortar– a cafĂ©, deli and restaurant just outside of the city. Tasty vegetarian and vegan dishes are available on their menu for brunch, lunch and evening meals.

I had one of the best vegan meals at Bill’s, Green Street, cambridge on Valentine’s evening. Bill’s make so much effort to make tasty and inventive vegan meals. Definitely my favourite place to eat at the moment.
