Reflexology in Cambridgeshire: Feet First Review

Reflexology in Cambridgeshire: Feet First Review

I am a true believer in the emotional and physical benefits of alternative therapies. I visited  Michelle at Cambridge Holistics for a wonderful treatment and here I am recommending another Michelle, this time of Feet First, who offers reflexology in Cambridgeshire. I think that there must be healing magic in the name!

alternative therapies in Cambridgeshire, reflexology

Reflexology in Cambridgeshire:

Michelle at Feet First Reflexology (based in Bluntisham near St Ives) offers quality reflexology, and reiki treatments in the calm, candlelit setting of her home therapy room. The room overlooks open fields and is a therapy of its own.

I am a regular customer for reflexology with Michelle and feel that it keeps me balanced and relaxed. It offers me the opportunity to catch my breath and refresh my weary, work frazzled mind.

The Treatment:

Michelle begins the pampering with a hot, steamy foot bath before I get to snuggle up on the spacious couch and get wrapped in blankets.

The treatment begins. Michelle uses aromatherapy creams which (as a qualified aromatherapist) she blends herself. And relax!

In literally a few minutes of Michelle’s hands touching my feet, I am feeling calm and relaxed. I try very hard to stay awake as I want to feel every part of this fabulous massage but it is not easy!

Michelle’s treatments are excellent value at £35 for reflexology. I come away refreshed and feeling ready to face the world again. I also sleep brilliantly afterwards and wake up feeling refreshed and balanced.

The Gift of Relaxation:

Michelle offers treatment packages and gift vouchers. Fingers crossed that I get one! But if you don’t get one? Then visit Michelle as a present from you to you I say!

Brunch or Lunch in Cambridgeshire? Little Acre, St Ives *NOW CLOSED*

*Please note- Little Acre has now closed *

If you are looking for a place for brunch or lunch in Cambridgeshire look no further. We are lucky enough to have Little Acre Kitchen St. Ives on our doorstep which serves tasty food using local ingredients. With a great range of vegan and vegetarian options, the customer is able to choose between the righteous (smoothies, Buddah bowls etc.) and the indulgent (full English breakfasts and crispy toasties).

The menu never stands still and there is always plenty of delicious choices for brunch or lunch. Having visited many times now, this time I opted for a balance of the healthy and indulgent. Firstly, a wholesome, satisfying Buddah bowlcrunchy, fresh vegetables on a bed of quinoa with beetroot hummus, roasted squash and kale, topped with halumi cheese- yum!

Followed by a smooth hot chocolate topped with toasted marshmallow- pure comfort.

Lunch Little AcreThe food here is great. The portions are generous and reasonably priced, and the dishes are all home cooked.  This is obvious in the way that they taste. Yum!

Little Acre Kitchen feature in the 2018 Cambridgeshire Cookbook, which showcases their sweetcorn fritters. My favourites (it is hard to choose with their excellent food offering) are their amazing brownies. They really are something special (more on the indulgent side of course). With regularly changing flavours, they are gooey and dense in the best way. These hunks of heaven are hard to resist when I walk past.

Little Acre Kitchen host a number of pop-ups, workshops (there is a Christmas wreath making one coming up) and regular events such as yoga and supper clubs.
