Brunch or Lunch in Cambridgeshire? Little Acre, St Ives

When Little Acre Kitchen closed last year we were so upset. Our favourite place for brunch or lunch in Cambridgeshire and on our doorstep too. So imagine the delight when we heard it was coming back! Yes, from Autumn 2020, Little Acre will be back cooking up the old favourites and many new dishes too.

A top choice for vegan and vegetarian options too. Choose from the righteous (smoothies, Buddah bowls etc.) to the indulgent, (full English breakfasts and crispy toasties) all of which are completely delicious. Here is our review from 2018 (pre-closure) so that you can start planning what to have!

Review from 2018:

The menu never stands still and there is always plenty of delicious choices for brunch or lunch. Having visited many times now, this time I opted for a balance of the healthy and indulgent. Firstly, a wholesome, satisfying Buddah bowlcrunchy, fresh vegetables on a bed of quinoa with beetroot hummus, roasted squash and kale, topped with halloumi cheese- yum!

Followed by a smooth hot chocolate topped with toasted marshmallow- pure comfort.

Lunch Little AcreThe portions are generous and reasonably priced, and the dishes are all home cooked and this is obvious in the way that they taste.

Recommended:

Little Acre Kitchen feature in the Cambridgeshire Cookbook, which showcases their sweetcorn fritters. My favourites (it is hard to choose with their excellent food offering) are their amazing brownies. They really are something special (more on the indulgent side of course). With regularly changing flavours, they are gooey and dense in the best way. These hunks of heaven are hard to resist when I walk past.

Pop-ups:

Little Acre Kitchen host a number of pop-ups, workshops (there is a Christmas wreath making one coming up) and regular events such as yoga and supper clubs from their St Ives base.
