If you are searching for yoga and relaxation classes in Cambridgeshire RNG Yoga is really hard to beat. After an injury, I thought my yoga days were sadly over but this class got me back (no pun intended) in the game of yoga and made a huge difference to my mobility, flexibility and stress levels.
Perfectly Pitched and Inclusive:
So what was the difference to the other classes I had tried since my injury? It was simply Rachel’s hugely attentive style of teaching. As a qualified primary school teacher (as well as a yoga teacher), Rachel is well versed in meeting the wide ranging needs of a class, and offers levels of differentiation for each and every posture. This class is extremely challenging for the more able but also non-competitive and achievable for all levels- including the injured.
What is it like?
I think that this comment from the RNG website sums up the ethos of this class perfectly:
My first real yoga experience and I loved it. It was challenging, relaxing and superbly lead by Rachel who was warm, friendly and put you at ease. I will definitely be signing up to more sessions!
The Sivananda Yoga Class:
Godmanchester based, the 75 minute class moves through a set structure but is meticulously planned to be different each week. We start with a warm up, move on to the abdominal exercises (these are fabulously taxing!), and then move through a series of postures. The final section is the relaxation and meditation- my favourite. The class is currently held each Thursday at 7.45-9.15 at the Godmanchester Bridge Academy Primary School.
Yoga for Total Relaxation:
Held monthly in Papworth Everard, Cambridgeshire, these 90 minute classes are a total break from reality. A series of relaxing, gentle yoga sequences set to some classic, calming tunes, followed by breathing exercises and meditation. Take a pillow and a blanket and prepare to zone out for some absolute me time. Heaven!
How to book:
With a very loyal following of students, you need to book early to avoid disappointment at RNG Yoga. Classes can be conveniently booked using the online booking system and paid for via Paypal. All sessions are extremely reasonably priced.
Feature RNG Yoga Classes in Cambridgeshire:
Look out for the fantastic monthly specials and feature sessions which can include goodie bags, vegan nibbles and even gin! Last summer I attended the outdoor yoga which was held riverside in the sunshine and sometimes at the beautiful Island Hall. These sessions really were wonderful. Details of these classes can be found at RNG Yoga.
