Dog Friendly Hotels in Wells Next to the Sea-The Crown Review:
The Crown Hotel is conveniently situated in the beautiful seaside town of Wells by the Sea. It also happens to be one of the excellent dog friendly hotels in Wells Next to the Sea. Wells itself has many quality pubs, restaurants and shops to browse and boasts a beautiful sandy beach.
We love staying at dog friendly hotels in Norfolk and recently had the pleasure of staying at The Crown thanks to a very welcome gift voucher from our family.
Eat, drink and be merry:
The Crown Hotel, a 15th century coaching inn is beautifully and tastefully decorated. For those humans or dogs seeking privacy and space, you will find plenty of cosy nooks to hide away in, or perhaps choose to enjoy the bar alongside other guests?
The food and drink:
The food and drink offering here is good. Local beers, spirits and tasty food, using locally sourced produce. We opted for the great value set menu on this occasion and enjoyed a very tasty and satisfying Thai fish curry and a rather delicious syrup pudding.
Breakfast showcases the best of Norfolk. Kick off with some homemade granola, fresh juices and fruit then move on to the main event which includes locally sourced smoked salmon and sausages.
The rooms:
Enjoy your homemade shortbread on arrival and pop on the fluffy gown for some relaxation time. The rooms at the Crown are sumptuous- think Egyptian cotton sheets, four poster beds and roll top baths. It really is a treat.
Each room is unique, some within the main building and others outside. A good number of the rooms are dog friendly and are outside the main building so you can easily nip out for toilet trips etc.
There is also an extremely nice ground floor room complete with copper bath outside in a private courtyard which is dog friendly. Rooms range from cosy to suites and the best rates can be found by booking direct.
Dog friendly hotels in Wells by the Sea:
We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff at the crown are extremely friendly and professional and we felt pampered and relaxed whilst staying here.
Walk from Wells to Holkham for a really peaceful beach experience, you may even see horses being exercised. Also, make time for a visit to Thornham for some delicious Eric’s fish and chips.
Self catering dog friendly accommodation in Norfolk here.
