Thai Food Cambridge- No77, Caxton Review

Unassumingly tucked away, roadside near Caxton, there it is- the funky No 77 Restaurant offering super-tasty Thai food near Cambridge. This wasn’t my first visit, I have been a number of times including visits to the pop-up events at the beginning of held annually which are also great. The main menu however, is Thai food and very nice it is too!

The Restaurant:

It is so pretty and relaxing here. Old cinema seats are cosy, and plenty of quirky hangings and pretty lights make this a real treat to visit. No77 is part of the Feast & Frolic group, which includes The Willow Tree and The Eltisley.

The Starters:

We got started with a sharing Thai Tasting Platter, my favourites of which were the spring rolls which were bursting with chunks of juicy duck, and the tasty, little sweetcorn fritters. These were served with a selection of dips.

The Mains:

I chose a chicken Massamaan curry. This was rich, satisfying and really flavoursome. A mild curry of coconut milk, onions, crushed peanuts and potatoes. served with sticky jasmine rice- I loved this dish. Also available as a vegetarian option, order with vegetables or tofu.

My lovely friend opted for the Pad See-ew; egg noodles in a dark soy sauce with seasonal vegetables. These can be served with a range of additions, for example tofu, chicken, prawns etc. In the distance of the photograph you can also see the Chu Chee, the third friends choice, this one with big, juicy prawns. All three dishes were thoroughly enjoyed.

Thai Food Cambridge:

A great choice of destination,a few miles from the city centre so easy to park too. My friends made a celebration booking before we left for their next visit. It is also dog friendly so take your furry family and friends too!
