The menu at Restaurant 22 includes; snacks, bread, amuse bouchè, starter, main, dessert and petit four. The entire process, from booking to eating, is as expertly curated as you would expect from this superb restaurant.

We recently had the pleasure of trying this. The food was as sublime as ever and, even though we were eating at home, it felt like a really special meal.

Think herb fed chicken croquette, chestnut and truffle agnolotti, retired dairy cow, and Russet apple with toasted barley and vanilla. Simply delicious!

The comprehensive instructions made the reheating process easy. A real treat for that special occasion. You can also head over to Thorne wines and order a 3 bottle matching wine flight to go with your meal.

Pie night in sounds like my kind of evening. A delicious homemade pie (Beef, ale and wild mushroom, or Sweet potato, leek and cheddar), served with mash, winter greens, and a red wine sauce. Dessert? How about a sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce. This serves two people perfectly for these cold lockdown evenings.

Vanderlyle to go

Currently having a break but hopefully returning soon, the wonderful team at Vanderlyle blazed a trail for home meal kits early in the first lockdown. The weekly changing, vegetable based menus sold out in record time on a regular basis. You had to be on your toes to get one! When they return, get organised and enjoy the super-easy booking and collection process.

Start with focaccia, rapeseed oil and rye. Move on to a beetroot and lentil salad and drizzle over the prepared nasturtium and pumpkin seed pesto. The clever use of ingredients continues with a red fox pea ‘not-tage’ pie served with seasonal greens.
