Best Afternoon Tea in Cambridge and Cambridgeshire- Mothers Day Gift Experiences
Looking for thoughtful mother day gifts and experiences? How about a trip for one of the best afternoon teas in Cambridge and Cambridgeshire? A chance to catch up and relax together whilst sharing some delicious food. The perfect way to say thank you and I love you.
Step back in time and board the (static) train at Carriages for a delicious afternoon tea. At £21 per person, this is a real experience and the food is great. My mum loved it. Located just off the old A14 at Fen Drayton, Cambridgeshire.
The Old Bridge:
There are a few options at The Old Bridge at Huntingdon for great mothers day gift experiences. Wine tasting in the wine shop (from £12 per person, canapes can be added to this), afternoon tea in the restaurant for £18, or simply a lovely lunch or dinner.
The Stove Cafe, Bourn:
I love the Stove Cafe! A delicious brunch, lunch or afternoon tea at this independent is a lovely treat. Made on the premises, the super-fresh cakes and scones are really delicious. Fresh sandwiches, packed full of tasty fillings are a great start to this. A lovely, relaxed cafe serving flavoursome food. A very generous and reasonable afternoon tea experience at £14.50.
Fitzbillies are probably best known for their amazing Chelsea buns- they really are spectacular! You can buy a pretty gift box of buns to take away and enjoy at your leisure or how about their afternoon tea which is £19.50? Gift vouchers also available.
Afternoon tea can be enjoyed at The Ivy Brasserie for £18.95. The Ivy is centrally located so convenient for a spot of shopping before or after eating. There are many Ivy brasseries throughout the country now so a gift voucher is also a great option.
Centrally based Parker’s Tavern isn’t the cheapest option for an afternoon tea at £33 but the quirky cakes and the setting are a lovely treat. Booking essential here, as is trying the Cambridge Tart!
The lovely Peacocks Tearoom offers a delicious afternoon tea in their cosy Ely tearoom. Award winning and widely recognised for their quality, they offer a range of experiences including a chocolate cream tea (£8.95), or the Full Monty afternoon tea which is £18. Ely is a lovely cathedral city so why not have a wander and visit Ely Gin?
Willingham Auctions Cafe:
Tucked away in the village, the Willingham Auction Cafe offers fabulous freshly baked cakes and treats. A traditional, and a savoury afternoon tea can be taken here- both of which are great and hearty. A wander through the auction rooms after makes for a lovely, relaxing afternoon.
Or the Gift of Pampering?
For those loving a treatment, why not give the gift of a voucher? There are many fabulous therapists, spa’s and salons in Cambridgeshire. I can promise excellent pampering with me at Balance Me Reflexology Gift vouchers available. See our local spa reviews here. The perfect mothers day gift experiences!
