Annabel wanted to write an entertaining picture book that parents can also relate to about the dynamics of birthdays when young children can so often lurch from exasperating to endearing. Fabi Santiago’s bold illustrations capture the wit and warmth of Annabel’s story.

PADDINGTON’S EASTER EGG HUNT – newly discovered Paddington story, co-written by Michael Bond and Karen Jankel

Publishes on 17^th March (HarperCollins, HB £12.99) This timely PADDINGTON BEAR story was unexpectedly unearthed in a lockdown clear-out by Michael Bond’s agent, Hilary Delamere. The story was co-written by Michael and his daughter Karen Jankel in the ’90s for a charity newsletter and filed away until Hilary’s rediscovery. It has now been transformed into a picture book featuring the beautiful illustrations by long-standing Paddington illustrator RW Alley. These books are all available from bookshop.org
