9 Eco Gifts for Christmas
I love to buy gifts for loved ones but hate to add to the consumerism of the festive period. In a world when we are all trying to be more eco-friendly, what can we buy? Here are some stocking fillers and eco friendly gifts for the environmentally conscious.
Georganics Electric Toothbrush:
If you love an electric toothbrush but hate the plastic and waste associated look no further. Georganics make the Sonic toothbrush which uses recyclable heads, has a long battery life and comes in plastic-free packaging. One charge lasts for 5 weeks and you only need to recycle your head every 3 months. I love mine!
Konjac sponge:
These award winning Rudolph refiners from The Konjac Sponge Company are sustainable, vegan and cruelty free. Made from a type of potato, they are naturally alkaline and full of vitamins & minerals. The sponges deep clean, exfoliate, soften and stimulate blood flow which maintains the skin’s PH balance. Suitable for the most sensitive of skin. *
Reusable tumblers:
A reusable tumbler from Greens Steel has a lifetime warranty! Pictured above is the Beast which comes in a range of HUGE sizes and cool colours. It is double insulated so keeps drinks hot or cold and comes with a steel straw too.*
Support a charity:
How about a donation to a charity personal to the replicant? You are able to buy a dog or cat a Christmas dinner or perhaps sponsor a dog with Dogs Trust? Choose a price and charity to suit your loved one.
Cruelty free pampering:
Cruelty free, eco friendly pampering is always a top choice for eco gifts with me. See our comprehensive collection of ethical brands here. Prices to suit every budget.
Wrap it up:
Using alternatives to cling film and disposable types of food wrap is so important in the quest to reduce plastic. Reusable Beebagz offer a sustainable storage alternative. Plastic free, silicone, reusable storage bags by Stasher are also excellent for storing food, freezing and cooking.
This sandwich wrap from the Donkey Sanctuary is not only cute but is super easy to use, wipeable and supports this valuable charity. £10.99.
Repair don’t rebuy:
How about one of these compact and cute repair kits from Sugru? You are able to mend a multitude of things rather than replacing them using the mouldable glue and tools provided in the kit. *
Gift an experience:
An experience with a loved one can make memories that last a lifetime. Whether it is a day out or a night away, gift vouchers can be bought from many restaurants, theatres, spas and hotels- there really is something for everyone! I love a voucher for a holistic treatment or afternoon tea personally. Prices to suit all budgets.

You have found some great gifts!
I LOVE the idea of the glass straws, they are genuinely really useful, or at least will be in our house. We have metal ones but these actually look a lot nicer and I think will look smarter on the xmas dinner table! Thanks for the piece, very helpful.

Some fab ideas here to share
Oh I need that toothbrush! I like an electric one as I find it works better, definitely going to look into this
Some fab ideas!
Lovely ideas. The glass straws are a fab idea. I have just got some bamboo straws and I love them. Eco-friendly is the way to go.
I’d be a bit worried about buying the glass straw! I’ve got some metal ones and they’re good but I do feel slightly concerned by any nasty’s that may be in the steel ones.
Are the glass ones food rated?
Some great eco-conscious suggestions here! Particularly like the glass straws. We’re looking to make a change in our house so thanks for pointing these up!
